For 245 industrial chemicals, BG Chemie (after 2010 its legal successor is BG RCI) has published TOXICOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS. They give an overview on the acute and chronic effects of the substances and evaluate the data on the genotoxicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, immunological and neurotoxic effects and the experiences in humans. The TOXICOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS are available in different versions which can either be downloaded or obtained free of charge. In addition, BG Chemie has performed 432 experimental studies with 129 phase-in substances. The studies are described in the TOXICOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS and can be obtained from BG RCI for registration under REACH.

Aniline

CAS number 62-53-3, BG number —

Within the BG Chemie "Programme for the Prevention of Health Hazards Caused by Industrial Substances"

  • a micronucleus test in mice
  • an UDS-test
  • a cytogenetic test in vitro (cultures)

were performed with aniline on behalf of BG Chemie. The UDS-test and the cytogenetic test in vitro showed positive results, whereas the micronucleus test was negative.

These studies can be obtained from BG RCI for registration under REACH.

A TOXICOLOGICAL EVALUATION has not been established. The German Commission for the Investigation of Health Hazards of Chemical Compounds in the Work Area ("MAK-Kommission") has assessed the substance.
