Shoes in the laboratory

In some cases it can also be sensible to wear safety shoes in the laboratory, for example when transporting compressed-gas cylinders or working on larger autoclaves. Here, injuries are possible during transportation when striking objects or when the cylinders roll over, and also through falling heavy parts. However, it is usually not necessary to wear safety shoes as standard footwear in the laboratory.
