Exposure descriptions for the workplace
As part of the evaluation of existing substances in accordance with the European regulation for the evaluation and control of the risks of existing substances, BGAA working group (Berufsgenossenschaftlicher Arbeitskreis Altstoffe) has issued a comprehensive data pool of hazardous substance measurements of all German Social Accident Insurance Institutions for trade and industry to create process and activity-related descriptions of discovered exposure in workplaces. This has all been conducted under the supervision of BG Chemie.
These exposure descriptions mainly refer to the fields in which the respective substances are used and are based on measurements made in the workplace by the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions for trade and industry and associations of local accident insurers (GUVs).
The English version of the report “Existing commercial chemicals – Exposure at the workplace” can be downloaded from the website of the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA) of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
